Hook’N for a Cause

Joining a community Facebook group is always good so you are in the know of what’s happening around you. Well, this time it was all about joining a meet-up for a good cause.

I mean this has been the year of Intentionally Executing and I must say I am fulfilling that goal to the fullest.

Getting back to the group.

Dela Warm which is run by Sarah Obee who is absolutely amazing with what she is doing.

Gathering yarn from the community and putting together these meet-up so people can come together and crochet for a good cause. Keeping the unhoused warm throughout the winter.

If you crochet and want to donate check out the facebook and message Sarah there.

I am still working on this scarf made using Tunisian Simple Stitch in this beautiful yellow color, and I plan to be finished by June 9th which is the next meet-up in my area.

My goal is to make 20 hats and ear warmers, as well as some scarves before the last scheduled meet-up for my area in JULY.

It’s also a good thing that as a crafter I overbuy yarn, so this is an excellent way to downsize the stash. Proverbs 19:17 teaches that showing kindness to the poor is lending to GOD.

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

I wanted to be outside this year, and the way God is getting me to be outside is so fulfilling. It’s a blessing to do what you love while sharing out with others.

What Causes are you working on?
