Painted In This Season
I remember before motherhood selecting an outfit for a social event and how exciting that feeling would be when layer after layer (I love to layer) just comes together. Then motherhood hit and soon you fall into this never-ending leggings and sweats, whatever can fit mode - but at least the kids are cute. So, falling into the background you go - until one day you're outside again.
Well, that was this weekend. Feeling nostalgic as I can feel pieces of the old Ashley blending in with this wiser more mature been through some things Ashley. There's a joy outside of motherhood outside of being loved as a wife - its just in being YOU.

It was a bit rainy and gloomy, but does that ever really stop a fashion moment. So, here's to my favorite color combo - the CLASSIC Black & White with a splash of cartoony fun.
The hardest decisions that needed to be made was either the patent construction style boots? or the straight combats?
Do we go with the colorful oversized kissed lock clutch? Or the black & white with sage green bottom?

Most days I've only done a smudge of eye shadow, liner, mascara a good lip and some good lotion for moisturizer. But I decided a full make-up look would be a thing and I am so happy that I did.

Of course, I signed up to bring a dish. There’s nothing like a good empanada and these were a hit. Made the dough from scratch filled with Jerk ground turkey. Didn't think I'd have some to bring back home (I may have nibbled one while cooking) - Even with a job well done I was able to bring two home for my girls.
Having girl time with likeminded women is such an amazing experience. Simple, and absolutely creative paint by number.
Enjoying this new season of life that I’m walking into.
