Back - To - School Fun
Just like that we are back at school, and ready for new adventures.
Speaking of new adventures, we started one too with this Crochet Pencil. That feeling you get from thought to design to finish is really such surreal moment. From freehand design to pattern creation is somewhere I always wanted to be. Who would have thought a photo prop would be the beginning of it all.
First day of school pictures are always fun – But adding something whimsical like a GIANT PENCIL just takes it up a notch.
After creating the first pencil just from an idea, I knew I had to create a pattern to share. Creating and being intentional about writing down every stitch is something to talk about. But I did it.
The pencil may have started as a fun back-to-school project, but it also became a milestone in my creative journey. It’s proof that sometimes you don’t have to wait until you feel like an expert to try something new.
Sometimes you get an idea.
Write it all out.
Then look back and realize, wait…I made a whole pattern.
And not for nothing, that’s something to be proud of.
So, here’s to first patterns, creative experiments, back-to-school memories and letting crochet show up in places you might not expect.
And who knows?
Maybe this is just the first of many patterns to come.
