QUARANTINE CAFÉ - COFFEE THREE WAYS
Since the world was put at an immediate standstill and most of our daily routines were interrupted, we had a lot of “Figure It Out” moments. This included our most important morning routine — Yes, “ But First Coffee….” is ’s a real thing in this house. The day doesn’t start until we have that first sip of that good ole cup of JOE.
Thanks to my sisters for always being in the known of All Things { well most things} and introducing me to the TikTok sensation Whipped Coffee - Yes, I was whipping it back and forth. This version is not only cute, but its FUN. And who doesn’t like to have fun with their drinks { let’s not forget that it’s a Instagram worthy hit } .
All you need is a strong instant coffee, sugar, hot water — and a hand mixer { unless you’re trying to get a workout in }.
We do live in the age of social media so everything has to be the perfect picture. We aren’t all about the images though - it does have to taste as good as it looks. Our second version is a spin on the classic Caramel Frappe. All you need is ice, ice cream, a little milk, a shot of coffee & BLEND (more like pulse a few times). We find that to get the right consistency it should be a 75/25 solid to liquid ration, because who wants a frappe that’s liquid from the start { ain’t nobody got time for that **insert side-eye glance**. If you know you know }.
We did say coffee 3 ways. Last but not least the one that has creeped into the number one spot, Iced Coffee + Frothed Milk . This one is really simple and thanks again to my sister { sisters are the best friends you always need } for introducing me to the milk frother. If you have a ice coffee blend { good for you lol } but I use regular coffee brew to make my iced coffee — either doing it the night before or an hr. or two before drinking it. Flavor it how you like and then froth your milk and pour over. Simple yet satisfying.
Have you tried to do any of these at home? If so what’s your favorite?
SN: We did not drink all coffees at once ( no jitters over here)
