FUNNEL CAKE FUN
When you think of SUMMER - you think of water parks, theme parks, and carnivals.
If you’re from Brooklyn (New York counts just the same) then you’ve had at least one summer visit to Coney Island. From the worlds Famous Nathans to the Cyclone —Coney Island has always been the “IT” summer attraction for tourists and New Yorkers alike.
In the last few years I’ve had the luxury of walking to Coney Island for one reason only — Funnel Cake !!
Yes, yes the sweet tooth is a real thing. So of course there was major disappointment when I learned Coney Island would be closed for the summer. We are thankful that New York has taken the necessary precautions to keep its city safe, even if we are missing one of our favorite treats.
Just like our many different styles of coffee (that’s another sweet tooth conversation for another day) we decided to learn it for ourselves.
There’s nothing better than a simple recipe — o yesss, one that tastes as good as it smells; just like the real thing. We were even able to take some photos of our New Collection - Rainbow Color Storm .
I used the tips and tricks on Sugar Spun Run by Sam, who I'm sure didn’t know her recipe would be a quarantine hit just a year later. We paired ours with a The Little Sheep Rose Wine.
Just as Sam suggested it stores perfectly , we reheated ours for breakfast. Yes, breakfast ( when you’re an adult you can eat how you like). We topped it with a homemade patty and fried egg..
