20 Years & Back Again

Took the Amtrak back home for a memorable moment. As soon as I arrived I was on a mission - NY walk activated. If you are a true New Yorker you know that walk - not the Sunday stroll that I was dodging to get to where I needed to be. And finally I arrived…..

Walking back through those same school doors felt different.

20 Years. Wow. 20 Years.

Remembering how Dyslexia and ADHD made graduation feel like an uphill climb—but I did that. Even in that hot auditorium—our “sweaty graduation,” as we joked—

it was unforgettable.

Just like this past weekend.

To sit in that same auditorium, surrounded by faces that shaped your journey—old friends who hyped you up, teachers who saw you before you saw yourself? Whew. And just like 20 years ago the the teachers are still inspiring us with their words - a message from Mr. Orbe.

THE TEACHERS.

It’s not just nostalgia. It’s proof the journey was worth it.

It felt like a movie. But better - because it was real. My life. I conquered my teens, and now I’m living my dreams - designer, wife, SAHM. And seeing everyone else thriving too? Pure Magic.

The laughs while taking this picture - took me right back to graduation day. [My Knees didn’t like me lol]

The energy was high - the love was felt and plans were made to see eachother again.

This wasn't goodbye. Just a “see you next time”—

🎉 Next stop: the schools 100 Year Anniversary.
